Richard Hawkins

Obituary of Richard Van Hawkins

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard “Rick” Hawkins, 53, on Monday, January 27, 2025 at his home.

Rick was an automotive technician for many years, but had been working with his wife in their own cleaning business since 2018. He was a city boy who loved riding his motorcycle, working on cars, taking pictures and going to the beach. He was so proud of his kids and grandkids. He was strong-willed and very stubborn at times and will be remembered by his sense of humor and wit. He loved making people laugh. He was born in Fort Worth, TX July 2, 1971 and was a resident of Pensacola since 1975.

Although Rick is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.  He was reunited with his dad, Cecil Van Hawkins; his sister, Angela Hawkins; his grandmother, Sara Asarisi and cousin Lucille Asarisi.

He is survived by his wife, KrisTina Hawkins of Pensacola as well as four children, Meagan Sullivan and husband Taco of Pensacola, Hailey Hawkins, Kristen Hawkins and Ricky Hawkins, his mother Cindy Jones and husband, Bill Jones (B.J., AKA “Pops”), his brother, Danny Hawkins and wife Dana; his brother Abe Hawkins, his grandfather, Sam Asarisi as well as his two grandsons, Haidan and Hudson and three granddaughters, Anastasia “Ana”, Elessedi “Ele”, Magnolia “Mags”.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
