Obituary of Cheryl Renee Hoyle

Endlessly loving and outgoing, Cheryl Renee George Hoyle made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Whether it was strangers at a restaurant or life-long friends, she always knew what to say to make people laugh. Cheryl left this world on February 22nd, 2025 at age 61.

Born on November 2nd, 1963, Cheryl spent much of her early years getting sunburnt while swimming in the Navy Point bayou, wrestling with her older brother and playing with her little sister. Like her father and brother, she enlisted in the Navy where she became a military photographer; travelling the world with her camera and winning awards for her unique compositions. After her service, Cheryl continued her creative pursuits through painting, inspired by some of the more rustic sights of europe and the natural world wherever she was living.

Cheryl was an attentive, caring, and patient mother of three. With her loving nature and adventurous spirit, the time spent with her family was always filled with warmth and happiness. She was an avid story teller, recounting many tales from her life and her family, or making up bedtime stories to put her kids to sleep.

Cheryl is survived by her three children, Vi, Connor, and Jamie; her mother, Reta; and her sister, Christina.

A Graveside service will be held on March 04, 2025 at at 10:00 AM at Barrancas National Cemetery.
