Obituary of Arturo Cezar Garza

Arturo (Arthur) Cezar Garza, of Pensacola FL. passed away on Monday February 24, 2025 at the age of 73. Arthur was born in Saginaw Michigan in 1951 and graduated from WJ Woodham High School in 1969. Arthur enjoyed hunting and fishing was employed in the engineering material industry for four decades retiring from Tierra, Inc in 2020. Prior to moving to Gulf Breeze FL in 1966 he lived with his parents in Saginaw / Flint Michigan and Baton Rouge, LA. He moved to Orlando FL after High School and returned to Pensacola where he was united in marriage to Carolyn H Smith in December 2000.

Arthur is survived by two brothers and their wives, Alfred and Marsha Garza, Robert and Betty Garza of Gulf Breeze FL; his daughter Nikki Fernandez (Pensacola, FL) , 2 brother-in-law’s Terry (Shirley) Smith and Ira (Cyd) Smith (Pensacola, FL),  nephew Anthony E Garza (Gulf Breeze) and niece Melissa A Garza (Duluth MN) along with great nieces & nephews Carmen Zeta Garza, Anthony E Garza, Jr, Alfred C Garza IV, Jackson A Garza, grandchildren Ashley (Kenny) Vanase, Mitchell Resmondo, great grandchildren Ava Vanase, Michael Hall and great-great grandchild Adonis Hall  and many more loving family members. He is preceded in death by his wife of 20 year Carol, and his parents (Al and Carmen) Garza, sister Linda A Garza and nephew Alfred C Garza III.

 

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all. Best buddies in the whole world Billy Haber and Mark Treesh were true friends to the end and Art loved these two like brothers. The family will schedule a celebration of life at a later date. To take place at Art and Carol's country retreat in Peterman AL at which time a private scattering of their ashes will take place. Please contact family members for details.
