Obituary of alexandra brackin

Alexandra "Alex" Brackin, 78 of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away with family by her side on Monday, April 18, 2022. Alex was born in Larissa, Greece on April 27, 1943 to Costas Koutayia and Ekatrina Melachriounou. She was raised by her mother and Dimitrios Othon after her father was killed in action in the Greek Civil War. Alex married Douglas Louis Brackin, whom she traveled the world with during their 51 years together. Alex was devoted to her family, at home and abroad. She was an avid poker player where she made good friends and laughed a lot. Anyone who knew Alex knew she loved her poker tournaments and occasionally, enjoyed playing her slot machines. Alex is survived by her devoted husband, Douglas Brackin; daughter Dimitra; son, Christopher; daughter in law, Adriana; beloved granddaughter, Sascha; brother in law, Rod Michael Brackin; sister in law Geralyn; nephews, Nathan and David Joseph; niece, Amanda; and many cousins.
