Obituary of rita kay anderson
Rita Anderson of Niceville, FL passed away on February 18th, 2022 at the age of 60.
Rita was born in Illinois on August 12th, 1961 to Walter and Joy Franz. She is now in heaven with her soulmate, Damon Clay, who passed away in 2019.
Rita graduated from Olney Central College in 1993, majoring in accounting. She moved to Florida in 1998 with her two daughters, Samantha and Sabrina, and worked in the automotive industry as an accountant.
In her spare time, Rita enjoyed bowling and bingo. She was an active member of the church and Bosom Buddies, a breast cancer support group. Rita loved watching game shows, Friends, and cheering on both the Tennessee Titans and Vanderbilt Commodores. Lastly, she loved her cats Misty and George.
Most importantly, Rita was a great friend, mother, grandmother, aunt and daughter. She will be remembered for her joyful personality and compassion for those around her. Although she faced a great number of challenges throughout her life, Rita survived (and thrived).
Rita Anderson is survived by her sisters, Donna Pearson and Helen Haines; brothers, Joseph and Vic Franz; daughters, Samantha Colson and Sabrina Morris; son in laws, Justin Colson and Jared Morris; grandchildren, Alaina Colson and Bryson Morris. She is preceded in death by parents, Walter and Joy Franz and soul mate Damon Clay.
