Obituary of ruby caldwell lee

Ruby Caldwell Lee July 24, 1927-February 11, 2022 Ruby Faye Caldwell Lee of Kings Mountain, NC went to her heavenly home with Jesus on February 11, 2022 at the age of 94. Ruby was born July 24, 1927 in Gastonia, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Jacob Floyd and Sallie Mae Caldwell. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alexander Lee; daughter, Karen Elaine (who died at birth); three siblings, Joyce, Roger and Marlene. In 1955 when Ruby was 28, she and husband Bob and sister Joyce moved to Cleveland, Ohio in pursuit of employment. While in Cleveland, Ruby worked in a light fixture factory. In 1988 Ruby and Bob moved back to North Carolina to retire. Ruby joined Kings Mountain Baptist Church in 1988, where she was an active member. In 2021, Ruby moved to Mary Esther, Florida to live with her nephew, Scott and his wife, Luvennia. Ruby is survived by her nephew and wife, Scott and Luvennia Halus; nieces, Nena and husband Harold Horne and Leah Leonhardt; great nephew and wife Joey and Sawyer Halus; and her little furry companion, Nugget. The family would like to give special thanks to Kathy and Barry Whitlow for their love and assistance for Ruby over the years. Also, a special thanks to members of Kings Mountain Baptist Church for continuing to reach out and show love to Ruby even after she moved to Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Kings Mountain Baptist Church.
