Obituary of peggy j horton

Peggy J. Horton, 82 years, of Crestview, FL went to be with her Lord on December 29th, 2021. Peggy was born in Florala, Alabama on November 4th, 1939 to Audrey and Alphus J. Bradley. She graduated from Crestview High School. Peggy worked and then retired from Civil Service at Eglin Air Force Base. Peggy was happiest surrounded by her loved ones and in her church, First Baptist Church of Mary Esther. She loved cooking, especially when family and friends were visiting her home. She adored her beloved Boston Terrier, Doober. In her retirement, Peggy enjoyed spending her summers with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband, James. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and Alphus Bradley; her husband of 25 years, James M. Horton; sisters, Betty Givens and Jeanette Mims; and brother, Robert Bradley. Peggy leaves behind her son, Lewis G. Barberree and wife Tracy; daughter, Jennifer Urdialez; grandchildren, William Sudul, Brittany Sudul, Bryna Sudul, and Anna Belle Barberree; four very loved great grandchildren; siblings, Austin Bradley, Inez Degraf, Bobby Bradley and many nieces and nephews.
