Obituary of henry jefferson pelham II

Henry Jefferson Pelham II born September 3, 1960 (age 61), in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, raised in Slocum and Dothan, Al has gone home to be with God. He passed away November 28, 2021. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and managed to stay strong until the very end. Henry, better known as Jeff to family and friends, can best be described as a gentle, quiet and humble man with an amazing work ethic. He and his wife of 38 years raised four sons together. They were his pride and joy along with his absolute devotion to his wife Ramona. Jeff had a personality that drew people to him. He treasured his family and his friends, including what he considered his Kellogg family. The outpouring of love and affection from both family, friends and coworkers overwhelmed him when he became ill. He had no idea he meant so much to so many people, but that is the kind of man he was. He celebrated 25 years with the Kellogg Company and was extremely proud of being part of an amazing company and wonderful group of people. Jeff had a passion for hunting and fishing, He did not hunt for sport as he had the utmost respect for God's creatures. He would fill the freezer with venison and fish. His motto was "As long as a man can hunt and fish he will never go hungry." Jeff enlisted in the Air Force right out of high school and served his country for 8 years, spending four of those years in Mountain Home, Idaho before being transferred to Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. In his younger military years, he was an excellent tennis player and won several awards competing in Air Force tournaments. Jeff always wanted to know how things worked. His father taught Jeff about cars, tools and how to work with wood (which was his fathers hobby after he retired). Passing down his knowledge and skills, he taught Jeff to be self-sufficient and extremely handy, from building decks to repairing every piece of machinery he owned. Jeff's wife, Ramona (Mona) was the love of his life. They met 39 years ago and celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary, November 11, shortly before he passed away. Their marriage survived all of life's ups and downs, raising four, sometimes rambunctious boys, who grew into amazing men. Jeff and Ramona stuck together. Their love for one another surpassing any flaws or disagreements they ever had. They were truly in love to the very end. Jeff considered his children his greatest accomplishment in life. He was always there when any of his children needed him and taught them so many important life lessons. His boys knew if something broke or something went wrong with their car, all they had to do was call dad and he was there. The love was so deep between him and his "boys" and was a beautiful thing to see. Jeff adored his children and grandchildren. The feeling was mutual. Just seeing one of his grandchildren walk in the door lit up his entire face as they ran to him, yelling "Baba! Baba!". They often ran right past their Nana as she held out her arms. He was so charismatic, they had to see their grandfather first. Nana was perfectly fine with this, seeing the look of pure joy on his face as they embraced him. Jeff will be reunited in heaven with his mother, Sue (Filko) Pelham; father, Henry Jefferson Pelham I; grandmother, Viola Pelham Barker; brother, Thomas (Tom) Pelham; brother-in-law, Raymond Huff; and father-in-law, Norman Arthur Larsen.
