Obituary of James David hicks  "dave" sr.

James David "Dave" Hicks passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 53. Dave was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 1, 1968 to Terry and Kay Hicks. As manager of Navarre Family Watersports and a Realtor at Sand Dunes Real Estate, Dave was a busy man, but he always had time for the important things in life. He was devoted to his family, and he always had time to help a friend in need, H was a great mentor to the youth at his church as he often volunteered at summer camp. He also spent many hours supporting other church members and friends through their journey with Christ. He spent a good portion of his life drawing from personal experiences to support others in their recovery process. His strong faith in God carried him through some difficult situations in his life and he was able to use that to help others. Dave was humble and honest. He was a deeply loyal friend with strong convictions, and he blessed more lives than he realized. In his spare time, he loved to ski, hunt, golf, create unique coin medallions from shipwreck recovered coins, and of course Alabama football. Dave is survived by his wife, Sarah Hicks; children, James & Hunter Hicks; parents Terry & Kay Hicks; sister, Jill (John) Millspaugh, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, countless friends, and his dog Boone. Celebration of Life will be held at Navarre United Methodist Church, 9474 Navarre Pkwy, Navarre, FL 32566 on October 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Memorialization will be by Cremation.
