Obituary of Patrick John Treherne

Patrick Treherne, 79 of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, passed away on September 1, 2021 He was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi on March 17, 1942 to Ollie Ray and Lavern Treherne. He married his beloved wife Sharlene Treherne in 1990. Patrick enlisted in the Air Force in 1960 and spent three years in Germany where he found his first and second great loves, motorcycling and photography. He developed his artistic eye for the perfect shot while seeing post war Germany on a 601 Zundapp twin motorcycle. After leaving the military service, he later found a home with Norfolk Southern Railroad as an engineer, living and working out of southern Alabama. He retired in 2004 after 35 years of exemplary service and pursued his first two loves full time with the help of his greatest love. He and his wife began a photography business and become known for their ability to capture the personality and activity of the people and events they were asked to preserve. They moved from Fairhope Alabama to Santa Rosa Beach Florida in 2014 and fully retired. Patrick spent nearly as many days on his motorcycle as he did off, often covering hundreds of miles and becoming a local expert on nearly every back road and highway around him. He was a talented landscaper and builder and a great lover of people. He shared his home, his talent, and his heart with anyone who needed him. Patrick truly never met a stranger and tried to love as he was loved. He lived his life in sublime amazement and true gratitude of Gods love for him. Patrick Treherne is survived by wife Sharlene, his children John Treherne, Bart Manning, Aaron Treherne, Tim Lawley, and Jessica Tucker, his brothers Mike and David Treherne, and sisters Kathy Clark and Ann Lee, and 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents whom he loved so dearly.
