Joseph Michael Broxton July 4, 1987 – February 11, 2023 Joseph “Joe” Broxton, 35, of Pensacola, FL, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2023. He was born in Pensacola to Sidney and Adair Broxton on July 4, 1987. Joe grew up on the north end of Cantonment with a great love of the outdoors and gaming. He had a core group of friends that he loved dearly throughout his formative years who he was rarely seen without. Joe was a great outdoorsman who had a love for fishing and the solitude it brought—he loved the peace on the water and could sit for hours. He loved to work with his hands and was constantly chopping wood or tinkering on the land surrounding his property. While he loved the outdoors, Joe was a true gamer at heart. He had a love for his nostalgic 80’s games, but kept up to date with systems and games, alike. He watched them—he played them—he shared them with friends and family. Joe was a man of few words—he never needed noise to fill the silence and he always rode in the car without the radio on. He used his words whenever they mattered. He was a devoted friend who could make you laugh when you were crying—he was a strong arm and a steady place to land. He was calm in chaos and always ready to lend a helping hand. Joe had the best puns, the very best inappropriate jokes, and a trademark mischievous smirk that always reached his eyes. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Broxton and mother, Adair Broxton. Joe is survived by his brother, Thomas Broxton, his son Connor, and his half-brother Sidney Broxton.
