Lawrence (Larry) Henry Bell, 77, of Cantonment, Florida passed away on December 5, 2022. He was born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts on June 19, 1945, to Thomas Henry Bell and Adelyn Florida Cloutier. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 – 1968 and was assigned as an Aircraft Mechanic and achieved the rank of E-5; he received an Honorable Discharge at his last duty station, NAS Saufley Field, Pensacola, Florida. He met his former wife, Ruth Jeanette Carnley in Pensacola and they had 3 children. He continued to work as a mechanic for many years repairing and maintaining jukeboxes, arcade games and pool tables; he was later employed as a Civil Service, Federal Employee with NAS Pensacola, NADEP later relocating to Morehead City, North Carolina, NAS Cherry Point, NADEP and retired in 2012. He has lived in Pensacola, Florida since his retirement. He was a member of the NRA, a fishing enthusiast, antique camera collector, stamp and coin collector and he loved music; his favorite music was rock and roll, his favorite band was Pink Floyd. When his kids were younger, he would spend time with them on Pensacola Beach, Fort Pickens and canoeing down Perdido River. He had fun with his grandkids when they were younger showing them magic tricks, hiding coins for them to find, and blowing up small toys with firecrackers; he was slightly bonkers, but all the best people are. Larry is survived by his 3 children James Bell, Cynthia Bullock (husband, Daniel Bullock) and Jennifer Bell and his 5 grandchildren; Nicholas (wife, Katie), Jared, Amaya, Nevaeh and Jaelyn and 2 great grandchildren; Emery and Benson. He is also survived by his sister, Marjorie Pierce (husband, William Pierce) and brother, Stephen Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents. As was Larry’s wishes, he will be cremated with no formal service; a celebration of life will be held later while canoeing down the Perdido River listening to Pink Floyd.
