Obituary of barbara gail friedl

It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Barbara G. Friedl of Pensacola Florida, who was called Home on December 3, 2022, at the age of 72. Barbara is survived by Krystina N. Friedl (daughter), Fredrick M. Friedl III (son), her 5 granddaughters, Skylee, Arianna, Naomi, Mika, & Keyani, her sister Sharyn Bowes, her brother William E. Bowes Jr, and her beloved fur babies, Pete and Molly. Barbara was welcomed to Heaven by her loving husband of 50 years, Fredrick M. Friedl Jr, her sister Patricia Sherwood (nee. Bowes), her parents William E. Bowes & Violet Dean Bowes (nee. Hicks), and her aunt Lillian Baird (nee. Hicks). Barbara was born and raised in northern Ohio. She married her life partner, Fredrick, in 1971 shortly before he was sent to Vietnam, and became the most amazing mother of two after he returned. She began her career as a bank teller and was promoted to management in a short amount of time but found her niche in mortgage lending where she spent over 30 years helping people finance their dream homes. Barbara was a kind, loving, and generous woman who was very proud of her Cherokee heritage, loved horseback riding, traveling the country by motorcycle with Fred, sailing Lake Erie, and was a wonderful artist. She taught her children kindness, loyalty, charity, and most of all the importance of family, and doted on her granddaughters every chance she got. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 10am-12pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Highway, Pensacola, FL 32503 with Internment at Barrancas National Cemetery on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 1:30 PM located on Pensacola NAS.
