Obituary of david Henry weyman
David Henry Weymann, 67 of Gulf Breeze, FL, went to be with his beloved parents on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022
David was born in Binghamton, NY on June 8, 1955 to Henry Power Weymann and Elizabeth
Caroline Murphy Weymann. The family moved to Pensacola, FL, in 1963, then to Crowley, Louisiana in 1970. The culture shock was so great to David that he convinced his dad to allow him to return to Pensacola as an emancipated teen. He got a job as a carpenter and never looked back. David was an avid tennis player, enjoying the sport nearly every off-work day, eventually rising through the ranks in the Volvo International tournaments, traveling to other states for competitions.
David was married to and divorced from Susan Gregory. Their union produced no children.
David became well established in his construction field, mostly remaining self-employed but occasionally working large industrial jobs like the building of the water treatment facility in downtown Pensacola. In 1984, his beloved parents bought their home on East Bay in Gulf Breeze. With his father’s designs, David gutted, remodeled and custom-built cabinetry for the home.
David married Alma Anita Cochran of Clyde, North Carolina, in Gulf Breeze in June of 1989. They had one child, Lucas Ryan Weymann, born May 20, 1995. David and Alma separated in 2005, not long after he had become disabled due to hand and ankle injuries.
David Weymann is survived by his son, Lucas Ryan Weymann of North Carolina., and by his Longtime companion, Jan Christian of Gulf Breeze, Florida. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Weymann, his mother, Elizabeth Weymann and his brother Gregory Weymann.
Service Information:
David chose cremation for his remains. There will be a celebration of life at his favorite place in the world - his home on East Bay - which will be announced at a later date.
