Celebrating The Life of Fontain Walker LaFountain (Fontain/PJ) Walker Jr., 44, of Pensacola, Florida, was relieved of his Earthly duties and called home to Glory on June 09, 2022. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Thomas and Penny Clark “Granny Sugar” Greene Sr., paternal grandparents Cleveland and Earnestine “Mama Tine” Walker, uncles Jessie Gully Jr., Dwight C. Walker, and Anthony Hollingsworth; First cousins Shabrina Gully, David O’Bryant, Jessie Gully III, sister; La Toya Walker and so many more. Fontain was born in Waukegan, Illinois on May 9, 1978 to Mrs. Shelly Clark Hollingsworth and LaFountain Walker Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Lightfoot of Shiloh Baptist Church of Waukegan. He moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1993 where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He attended Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on a basketball scholarship. He received his Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Certification from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Although he had many skills and trades, his main career was in law enforcement, first as a Transportation Security Officer for the Department of Homeland Security, then as a Corrections Officer for the Lake County Illinois Sheriff’s Department. His hobbies included cooking and enjoying time with his family and friends. He loved his children dearly and spoke of them often. He is survived by his mother and step-father Shelly Kim Clark (Bobby) Hollingsworth of Pensacola, FL, father La Fountain (Kathleen) Walker Sr. of Humble, TX, ex-wife Niki Brooks Walker, children Zhuri Miana and Isaiah Mahadi Walker of Pensacola, FL, Amani Djenne Walker of Hickory Hills, IL and Nia Weddington of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Angela Clark (Andrew) Terrall of Champaign, IL, Rasheeda Walker (Curtis) Robinson of Kenosha, WI, La Tonya (Chris) Jenkins and La Sasha Walker of Albuquerque, NM; brother La Fayette Walker of London, England; aunts and uncles: Gertrude Ladd of Zion, IL, Earnest Tyrone Turner of Mississippi, Wanda (Clyde) Smith of Paducah, Illinois, Cleveland (Nancy) Walker Jr., Ronald Walker, Vondia Wilson, and Louis (Mattie) Walker of Waukegan, IL; Matorry (Calvin) Krum of Texas, and Teracita Perkins of Chicago, IL; and special friend Donnis Overton of Chicago, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Fontain, “our PJ”, will be dearly missed and forever remembered for his incredible sense of humor, quick wit, and warm smile. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 with visitation at 1:00pm and Memorial Service at 2:00pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Hwy, Pensacola, Florida 32503
