Randell Brotski

Obituary of Randell Joseph Brotski

Randell J. Brotski entered fully into the presence of the Lord on February 2, 2022. He was just shy of his 62nd birthday. He was the husband of Jacqueline (Jackie) Brotski and the son of Clayton Brotski and the late Patricia Brotski (Green Bay, WI). He was a beloved father and grandfather, a Navy veteran (24 years), and a Christian. Randell met Jackie while stationed in Gulfport, MS (1980). Jackie’s father was also serving in the Navy at the time, and they were stationed on the same base. Coincidentally this is where his son would later meet his own wife. Randell’s time in the Navy took his family from Mississippi, to Cuba, to South Carolina, to Florida, and to Indonesia. Specifically, his commands were as follows: Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL (1978-1979); Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Seventy-Four (1979-1982); Naval Air Station Meridian, MS (1982-1985); Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (1985-1988); Naval Station Charleston, SC (1988-1991); Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Seven (1991-1995); Naval Training Center Orlando, FL (1995-1999); U.S. Embassy Jakarta, Indonesia (1999-2002). When Randell retired from the Navy with the rank of Chief Petty Officer (2002), he pursued a new mission with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) (20 years) in Jacksonville and Pensacola Florida. Randell was a lover of all sports coming out of Wisconsin: Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Wisconsin Badgers, and the Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, all you can eat seafood buffets, music by The Beatles and Little River Band, and working on his small garden. He always gave into Jackie’s love for animals and together they cared for many horses, dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. He was famous for his jokes, especially the ones he found the funniest himself. His infectious laugh would make you smile at even the corniest banter. Randell is survived by his wife Jackie Brotski; Father Clayton Brotski; father-in-law Thomas Noble; daughter Crystal Brotski; son Christopher Brotski; son in law Josef Diaz; daughter in law Mercedes Brotski; his granddaughters Georgina Brotski, Charlotte Brotski and Savannah Diaz; brother Richard Brotski (sister in law and friend Nancy Brotski); and sister Susan Martell (brother in law and friend Dale Martell). He is further survived by many siblings in law, cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, neighbors and family friends, all of whom brought additional joy and laughter to his life. His coworkers from TSA and the Navy were an extension of his family. He cherished their memories together and appreciated the love he received from them over the years. He was greeted in heaven by his Mother Patricia Brotski, mother-in-law Juanita Noble, and his three brothers Ronald, Russell, and Robert. In accordance with Randell’s wishes he will be laid to rest in Green Bay, WI with his family and where he can continue to cheer on the Green Bay Packers.
