Obituary of catherine marie gant

Catherine Marie Gant was born June 6, 1963 to Edith and Dudley Harvell. Her life would be dedicated to caring for others. She grew up caring for her parents who were both blind. She would have 3 children that would be the loves of her life, and her biggest headaches! If you asked Cathy what she was most proud of, she would say it was her one and only grandson, Nathan! Cathy lived for her kids and her family, and family doesn’t just mean blood related. If she befriended you, you became her family. She was a beautiful soul that was full of energy and she lived her life to the fullest! She was a hard headed, powerful force that lived by her own rules, and if you were around, so did you!! There was never a dull moment with her! She loved the outdoors. If she wasn’t floating down the river, sneaking into a pool at the beach hotels, having a drink on the beach laying in the sun, she was in her yard working. She loved taking trips to New Orleans. Being a natural caretaker, she would take in anybody that needed a place stay, or who was going through a rough time. She was social butterfly, and if you’ve been to any bar in Pensacola, I am sure you have seen her there, and everybody knows her name! She loved to talk, and believe me, she ALWAYS had a story to tell! Cathy was the epitome of a fighter, all the way until the end. We will surely miss her laugh, her smile, and all her craziness that was Cathy, Mom, Ms. Cat, Mom of Mayfair! We love you (heart) Cathy joins in heaven, her mother and father Cathy waits in heaven for her 3 kids, David Gant Jr, Christine Gant (Josh Earl), Clinton Gant her grandson, Nathan Gant, and all her sisters Michelle, Dyann, CeCe, Lori, Theresa, Donna, and Brenda We will be hosting a celebration of her life at Am Vets Post #292 @ 955 Dog Track Rd Pensacola, Florida 32506 on Saturday January 22, 2022 from 4-8pm.
