Obituary of frances Thelma Bell
Frances Thelma Bell, age 90 of Pace/Pensacola Florida went home to be with Jesus on December 2, 2021. Frances passed away peacefully surrounded by the presence of the Holy Spirit, her daughter Regina Davis and granddaughter Lisa Wragg.
Frances was born in Pittsfield, MA on June 19th, 1931 to Elmer and Beatrice. In 8th grade her mother passed away and she had to forgo the remainder of her education to raise her 9 siblings. On July 10th, 1956 she married Joseph Bell, together they raised 6 children.
Frances retired from General Electric as a factory worker. Frances wanted to be a nurse, but was unable to pursue that so after retirement she pursued the next best thing and became a personal caregiver/housekeeper for the handicapped, elderly, and very sick. Frances leaves a legacy behind as a caregiver that significantly impacted the lives of many.
Frances willingly and selflessly gave to those in need and would offer her own things to all around her. Frances was the kind who gave everything, told no one and expected or would take nothing in return. Frances devoted her life to caring for others, and not only raising her siblings, and her 6 children but also some of her grandchildren. Frances cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Frances had many hobbies, she enjoyed arts, crafts, sewing and making clothes for others, ceramics, competing in square dancing competitions, playing bingo, cards and her favorite game Rummikub.
Frances, the oldest of 10, is survived by her sisters Ida, Nancy and Mary. Her sons James and Joseph Bell and her daughters Frances Beigh and Regina Davis, 14 grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Beatrice, her brothers Lee, Frederick, Robert and Dicky, her sisters Gladys and Patricia, her loving husband Joseph Bell, her son John Bell and daughter Mary C. Harford.
The family will hold a private memorial. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you would make a donation in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital where Frances contributed for many years, where a memorial fund has been set up.
