Obituary of Carl david swanson, Sr.

Carl “Swannie” Swanson passed away on Nov. 5th, 2021, at his home with his family by his side in Pensacola, Fl. Carl was born on Sept. 14th, 1937, in Providence, RI, to Carl and Ella Swanson. Carl served in the Air Force and worked as a helicopter mechanic at NAS until he retired. After retirement, he “worked” at the car auction and loved to play golf. He was always tinkering with something, and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard Swanson, his wife Sue “blondie” Swanson, and his son Lanny. He is survived by his sister, four children, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00–11:00, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 on Wednesday, Nov. 10th, 2021, at Family Funeral and Cremation. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 at Barrancas National Cemetery.
