Obituary of Janet Marie Pickett

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Janet Marie Skinner Pickett, 56 of Pensacola, Florida on September 20, 2021. Janet was born in Kittery, Maine on January 19, 1965 to the late RC and Rheba (Browning) Skinner. She was a devoted Mother, Nanay, Sister, and Friend. She was a kind, loving, and gentle soul that always put others before herself. She fought some tough battles along the way, but always remained steadfast to those she loved most. Janet is survived by three children, John D. Noble of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tonia M. Mellon and husband Alfred of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Ashley J. Zeier and husband Jessie of Pensacola, Florida. Nine Grandchildren, Khyla Mellon, Tressa Mellon, Morgan Noble, Brooklyn Mellon, Phillycity Mellon, Landyn Tisdale, Carter Mellon, Paxton Zeier, and Chandler Noble. Five siblings, Douglas Skinner and wife Bonnie, Betty Ireland and the late Douglas “Dougie” Ireland, Dale Skinner and wife Martha, Debrah Skinner Burns, Carl Skinner and wife Susan, and a host of family and friends. Janet is preceded in death by her father and mother, RC and Rheba (Browning) Skinner.
