Obituary of Cynthia Elaine French

Cynthia Elaine French was born on January 13, 1957, in Pensacola, Florida. She departed the world on September 10, 2021. She was one of four sisters and one brother. Cynthia was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She grew up being an active Jehovah's Witness in the field service. She was a graduate of Woodham High School. She moved to New Orleans in July 1982, where she was an avid volunteer, member of the P.T.A., and chaperon for the Boy scouts. Family meant everything to her. She enjoyed singing, photography, decorating, self-taught guitar player, and active green thumb towards the care of her plants. She could bring any plant back to life. Cynthia spoke nothing but encouragement, even when faced with difficult times, a lover of peace while being a fighter. She moved back to Pensacola in August 1998. Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Ruth Steen, her sister Theresa Gale Hill. She is survived by children Marcellus Bynum, Montague Bynum, and Messina Bynum, her two sisters, Shirley Dean and Katrina Deen; and her brother, Essex Steen; her brother-in-law's James Dean and Michael Deen; her sister-in-law, Felica Steen; nephews, Eric Dean, Maurice Dean, James Hill, Jeremy Steen, her nieces Traci Dean, Jessica Steen, Megan Deen, and Minki Steen; and two grandchildren; Eva Bynum and Layla Bynum. Memorial Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 North Davis Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32503.
