Obituary of jessica hope turk

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Jessica Hope Turk at the age of 44. Her mother and father were at her side when she peacefully passed after a long illness on September 9, 2021. She was born in the Naval Air Station Pensacola hospital on December 18, 1976. After graduating from Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida. she attended Florida State University where she received both a Bachelor and Master’s degree. She was compassionate, empathetic and possessed a unique and creative spirit. Jessica had a talent for gardening and particularly enjoyed planting milkweeds to attract and perpetuate Monarch butterflies. She is survived by parents, Carl and Laurie Turk; sister, Kimberly Wargo; brother in-law, Robert Wargo; grandmother, Lucille Turk; former spouse, Derek Mitchka and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Jessica will be greatly missed by her family and many friends in the Pensacola area. A celebration of life will be held at future date.
