Obituary of robert howard Hinton
Robert “Bobby” Howard Hinton of Pensacola, Florida, left this world on August 23, 2021 at age 68.
He was born on November 13, 1952 in Madison County, Illinois to Howard Bowen Hinton and Patricia Ann Young.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with friends, going to the racetrack, and riding motorcycles. On any given day, you could find Bobby at his favorite restaurant, Smokeys, having lunch with friends. He recently checked off a few items on his bucket list, including vacationing in Hawaii and flying in a vintage World War II airplane. Both brought him great pleasure. Bobby was an Army Veteran serving from 1974 to 1978. After his time in the Army, he had various jobs in Pensacola; however, his favorite was his time spent on the road in his 18-wheeler as owner/operator of Haywire Inc. Trucking. Bobby, to all who knew him, was grumpy and set in his ways, but still loved dearly by his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his two brothers, Jeffrey Lee Hinton, and Richard Dean Hinton; his sister, Karen Michelle Fields; his three nieces, Heather Christine Cato, Ashleigh Lauren Hinton, and Jessica Lacey Hinton; and many special friends including Charles and Beverly Nations.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Bowen Hinton; his mother, Patricia Ann Young; his sister-in-law, Michelle Danley Hinton; his dear friend, Jim “Bo” William Smith; and his beloved pug, Molly.
A service will be held at a later date; the family will provide all additional details upon finalization of Bobby’s service.
