Obituary of Herschel "phil" h. phillips

Herschel (Phil) H. Phillips, 85, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021. He was born in Clarksville, Tennessee and moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1971 after living in Ohio for three years. Phil attended Austin Peay University and Miami of Ohio University. After moving to Pensacola, Phil worked in sales and sales management until he retired in 2003. Phil was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Commissioned a Kentucky Colonel and a lifetime member of the Reserve Officers Association. Phil was a member of the Army National Guard and the Army Reserve for 34 years, retiring in 1988 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Hundley Phillips. He is survived by his brother, Ed (Karen) Phillips of Clarksville, TN; children, Debbie (Randy) Phillips Hill, Jeffery Phillips and David (Shawn) Phillips; stepchildren, Vickie (Grady) Hundley Reeves, Walter (Sheri) H. Hundley, Jr., Vanetta Hundley Webb, and Verna Hundley and numerous adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, Pensacola, Florida.
