Obituary of richard leo anderson
On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Richard Leo Anderson, loving husband and step-father of two children, passed away at the age of 56.
Richard was born on August 3, 1964 in South Dakota. At a young age, he began his journey in the United States Navy as a Medic. While stationed in Pensacola, Florida, and working at the Navy Hospital, he met the love of his life, Joyce. They were married September 16, 1998.
After getting out of the Navy, Richard devoted his talents as a Biomedical Technician working for Hill-Rom where he continued to excel. He was an outstanding employee receiving countless accolades for his superior workmanship. He also entered the Navy, again, as a reservist, and eventually retired.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, William Anderson; mother, Eileen Kucerik, and brothers, James Anderson and John Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his two stepchildren, Suzanne (James) Cowan, Elizabeth (Kenny) Wise; his grandchildren, Austin and Addison Wise and Keelan Cowan; brothers, Benjamin Grundmeier, Blake Grundmeier with wife, Dee, sister-in-law, Karie Anderson, and several nieces, and nephews.
Richard was brilliant with electronics and he enjoyed building computers and musical components. He also loved music and could often be found drumming away in his music room. His favorite adventures included going on cruises with his beloved wife and playing with his dogs.
Richard never had children of his own, but he assumed the paternal position beautifully. He was cherished by his three grandchildren who sparked energy into his life.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 20th, 2021, at the Molino Community Center, 6450-A Highway 95A N, Molino FL 32577 at 2:00 p.m. Meal to follow.
