Obituary of Michael leslie woodruff

Michael Leslie “Woody” Woodruff 04/12/1961 to 04/13/2021 Michael L. Woodruff, 60, of Pensacola, FL., passed away on Monday, March 13, 2021. Michael graduated from Pace High school in 1979. He served 10 years in the U.S. Navy, and worked a variety of construction projects in the NW Florida area. Michael, “Coach Woody”, volunteered as Coach/Manager (many seasons) with Fast Pitch Girls softball at Myrtle Grove Ball Park. He loved his “girls” and was one of the joys of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry “Woody” Woodruff. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sue Woodruff; his mother, Sharon Woodruff; three children, Don Woodruff, Jessica (Marshall) Schmidt, Meghan (Nick) Purvis; four grandchildren, Noah, Brody, Brantley, and Nick “Jr”; three nephews, Mark (Lyndsey) Woodruff, Jeff Woodruff and Joshua Vanlandingham; niece, Kayla Vanlandingham; two sisters, Teresa Woodruff, and Sheryle (Todd) Vanlandingham; brother, James Woodruff; and grandniece, Willow. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
