Obituary of linda louise bourgeois blackmon

Linda Louise Bourgeois Blackmon, at age 73, entered eternal rest peacefully on March 16, 2021 at West Florida Hospital under Covenant Care. She was married to the late, Willie (Billy) Blackmon. She was the proud mother of four children, Stacey (Stephen) Calloway, Malcolm Blackmon, Chris (Denise) Blackmon and the late Gidget (Paul) Plaisance; grandmother of nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way, along with many nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Daughter of the late, Henry (Tut) Bourgeois and Florence Herzog Bourgeois, sister of Cheryl (Curtis) Abadie, Joan (Bobby) Bourque and Godchild of Barbara Lee Herzog Kass, age 93. She was the sister-in-law of Wanda Blackmon Cooper and the late James Malcolm Blackmon. She retired from Jefferson Parish Public School Food Service program. While her passing is sorrowful, her life and legacy will be celebrated. She had so much love and devotion to her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and would've adored her great-great grandchild. She loved when they would come over to play/sleep. Special thanks to Century Health and Rehabilitation in Century, FL, West Florida Hospital ICU and Covenant Care unit staff in Pensacola, FL for all they have done for our family. A Memorial Visitation and Blessing will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA 70056 and interment will immediately follow on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:00am. Family and friends are invited and the family is requesting everyone to please wear a mask.
