Shirley Louise Robinson, 82, of Pace, Florida passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida to parents, Paul and Mary Workman on August 11, 1938. She lived in Florida most of her life, except when her former husband, who served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years, relocated out of Florida. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a loving and dedicated Navy Wife, beloved mother and was employed as a cosmetologist. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William “Bill” Workman and her former husband, Ralph “Robbie” Robinson. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Debbie Foster and Betty Carpenter; sons, Dennis and Joe Robinson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Juanita Workman and niece, Michelle Myers. She always cherished her mother and in-laws visiting the family when Shirley resided in Hawaii, holidays with her beloved brother, Bill; his family and in-laws in St. Petersburg, Florida; the marriage of her first daughter, Debbie and John Foster and the birth of her first grandchild, Chris. Shirley was a wonderful and devoted mother to each of her four children, often times carrying the burden of care for them alone while her husband was deployed. She was caring, sensitive, giving and extremely humble. She loved God and taught her children to do the same. She loved her animals, both living and stuffed. Her tastes in food were simple, but she loved sweets most of all. She was a life-long fan of Elvis and may she always have “Peace in the Valley”.
