Obituary of Sharon faye Jones

Sharon Faye Jones better known as “Nana” was granted her angel wings on January 28, 2021. Nana passed away after a tremendous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Her final days were spent surrounded by her husband, her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom she loved more than life. Nana was born on February 1, 1947 in Arab, Alabama and later married the love of her life, Randy Jones, on April 30, 1967 and became an endearing military wife. Nana was best known for her love for her husband Randy better known as PawPaw, her love for her babies, and her amazing cooking. If you were with her she was going to feed you. Nothing made her smile more than having her grandbabies and great grandbabies around and making sure everyone was taken care of. Nana was one loved lady and will be missed dearly by all her family and friends. Nana is survived by her loving husband of just shy of 54 years, Randall Palmer Jones; her three daughters and their spouses, Tina (Leroy) Allgyer, Paula (Rickey) Bridges, Tammy (Daniel) Johnson; her seven grandchildren Randy Jones, Ashley (Skyler) Weekley, Dillon (Lauren) Stroud, Amber Stroud, Michael Johnson, Alyssa (Caleb) Ladner, and Chase Johnson; and her great grandchildren Bentley Jones, McKynleigh Jones, Lakelyn Stroud, Ryland Stroud, Joey Claire Ladner, Bailee Weekley, and Connor Weekley. Nana is also survived by her brothers Robert “Buck” (MaryAnn) Tanner, Paul Tanner, Tim Tanner, and Keith Tanner. She is predeceased by her mother, her father, a sister, and three brothers. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Nana’s caregivers who loved on Nana and took such great care of her throughout the difficulties. Dr. Ethan Gore, her neurologist from the Medical Center Clinic was a tremendous caring and compassionate doctor that cared about our dad as much as Nana throughout this process. Aubranee, Shay, Rose, and Quanisha from Carestaff loved on Nana and became a part of the family during these last few months. They laughed, they cried, and they comforted our family as needed. Samantha with Covenant Hospice walked us through the final days keeping us informed and comforted through each step. All of these fine people blessed us and took such great care of “Our Nana” and loved on her while in their care. We pray God’s blessing over each of them. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: At Nana’s request, there will not be a funeral but rather a celebration of her life. The family would like to invite their family and friends to celebrate the life for Nana on Sunday, January 31, 2021 between the hours of 2:00pm and 4:00pm at the residence of Randy & Faye Jones located at 11560 Mobile Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32526. This will be a very informal drop by bbq catered celebration of who Nana was to each and everyone of us. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association in hopes of helping other families prevail in the fight against this horrible disease: Lewy Body Dementia Association 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W.
