Obituary of ronald d. mothershed

Ronald D. Mothershed, 64, of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. He was born June 14, 1956 to Roy and Jody (Snyder) Mothershed in Pensacola, Florida. Ronald attended Little Flower, Escambia High, and Florida State University and he joined the US Air Force right after high school. Ronald worked for various companies in Financial Services including NCR Financial Services, First Data and HSBC to name a few. He was Senior Project Manager for these companies and before retiring he worked for NFCU as a Mortgage Support Specialist. Ronald was an Eagle scout as a boy and he loved playing golf, fishing, and spending time at the beach. Ronald loved listening to his wife’s jokes. He and Leigh shared wonderful times during their travels and their stay in Europe. One of their favorite memories is when they were in Brazil and they stayed at a waterfront suite for their anniversary in Rio de Janeiro. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Mothershed and Jody Mothershed. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Leigh Mothershed of Gulf Breeze, Florida; his sisters, Lynn (Byron) Gilbert and Karla Roland: niece, Marsha Lee and nephew, Robert Tohosky. A Committal Service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 1:30pm at Barrancas National Cemetery. The procession will leave at 1:00pm from Olive Baptist Church-Warrington Campus, 103 West Winthrop Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32507 to Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local Veterans Association in his name.
