Karen Kim Phillips Foxworth, age 62, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 27, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Tony Foxworth; three children, Holly Morgan, Bobby Foxworth, and Myra Jerkins; two grandchildren, William and Rylea Jerkins and her sister Sheryl Barbarow, of Atmore, Alabama. Karen was born deaf, and she grew up traveling with her parents in the military, which took her on many adventures to places like Taiwan, and Germany. She married Tony when she was 19 and had three children. Karen worked for Gulf Shores High School for many years, where she made memorable relationships with her co-workers. She was a loving and caring woman. At age 55, she was diagnosed with early onset dementia and has spent the last five years in a nursing home in Pensacola, Florida. Her passing has released her from her struggle. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Robertsdale at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 5, 2020. A reception will follow. This is also the church where Karen was a devout member, and where she started the deaf ministry for the church. Karen will be greatly missed and her legacy will live on in the lives she impacted.
