Obituary of Gunter engelbert hascher
Gunter Engelbert Hascher, 81, passed away suddenly on November 25, 2020 after living 21 wonderful years in Florida, residing in Navarre, Pensacola and Cantonment.
Gunter was born July 23, 2939 in Augsburg, Germany to Emil and Katharina Hascher where he met his loving wife, Helga. Gunter was a lifelong Civil Servant Postal employee before moving to the United States. Helga called him the “best man in the world.”
Mourning his passing are his wife, Helga Hascher and her family in Germany; his stepson, Christopher (Mena) Grounds; his step daughter, Nicole Belaznay; his sister, Evi (Manfred) Schmid; his nephew, Elmer (Karina) Haggenmueller and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Annabelle and Bonney.
Gunter will be cherished and remembered as gentleman par excellence, beloved stepfather and irreplaceable, Opa. He was a longtime member of the German-American Club Germania, where he held the position of treasurer for many years with a perfect record.
Helga would like to invite family, neighbors and friends to a Memorial Service on December 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 North Davis Hwy., Pensacola, FL 32503.
