Susan Michele Trevino left this earthly realm on November 4, 2020. She earned her wings after a five-year battle with ovarian cancer and leukemia. She was 56 years young. As Susan rests in peace, her pain and suffering have come to an end. She will live on forever through those she selflessly loved and touched. She was the kind of person who encouraged others to be the best they could be. Her will to live was incredibly inspiring, as she fought with every ounce of her being, determined to defy the odds presented in front of her. Susan’s life was so much more than the cancer. She was the most devoted and loving mother and “Grandie”, a loyal friend who gave the deepest, most unconditional love to those dear to her. Susan is survived by her daughter, Courtney Trevino Pennix; her two grandsons, Mason and Spencer Pennix and her mother, Maggie Tippett Jordan. She was passionate about traveling, collecting, crafting and creating. She always took time to stop and photograph the beauty in her life. Susan found joy in shopping and would embellish her home with dazzling decor that filled her heart. She put tremendous thought into every gift she gave and the truth is, she herself was the best gift ever given. A celebration of life will be hosted next year on Susan’s birthday, September 19, 2021.
