Obituary of patsy louise etheredge daniels manning
November 7, 1946 – October 17, 2020
Patsy Louise Etherdege Daniels Manning, 73, of Cantonment, Florida passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Patsy was a middle school teacher starting out at A.V. Clubbs, transferring to Wedgewood and finishing her career at Ransom Middle School. At both Wedgewood and Ransom, she was honored as Teacher of the Year and the year she was honored at Wedgewood, she was also one of the finalist for Teacher of the Year in Escambia County.
In her early years, Patsy was a member of Gonzalez United Methodist Church. On November 29, 1998, she transferred her membership to St. Luke United Methodist Church. She particularly enjoyed being a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class and meeting with her small group on Wednesday nights. She participated in multiple mission trips; one to Costa Rica and several to Ecuador.
Patsy was the daughter of the late Roy and Hazel Etheredge. She is survived by her two sisters, Sharon Leeds (Steve) and Diane Bradley (Robert) and brother, Charlie Etheredge (Terry); three children, Cherie Stone, Sheila Cox (Jeff) and Jimmy (Jo) Manning (Karin): thirteen grandchildren, Danielle Stone, Sarah Stone, Tiffany Fazzini (Kelly), Amanda Cox, Kartina Thacher (Jacob), R.C. Manning, Dusty Manning (Sarah), Jonathon Green (Erica), Kaitlyn Green, David Green, James Green and Karoline Green, Kristy Lynn Steffine: Eight great grandchildren – Ean Fazzini , Connor Fazzini, Lane Bolonga, Alyna Grace Grantham, Lyla Beth Manning, James Manning, Ethan Green and Aubrey Lynn Gobert.
The family extends their gratitude to Patsy’s son and daughter-in-law, Jo and Karin Manning, for the compassionate care they provided Patsy in these last three years.
In addition, the family extends their gratitude to two special individuals that sat with Patsy, Tracy and Brigette, and to Vitas Hospice, especially nurse Mickey, for their invaluable care and support.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on November 7, 2020 at the Gonzalez United Methodist Church cemetery located behind the church at 2026 Pauline Street, Cantonment, Florida 32533.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1394 E. Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, Florida.
