Obituary of audrey m. lunsford

Audrey Ellen MacMillan Lunsford, age 67, passed away on July 27, 2020 at Baptist Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born on December 20, 1952, in Salamanca, NY, to Lester Howard and Marilyn (France) MacMillan. Audrey is survived by two daughters, Jeannette Blancheri, and husband, Eric Blancheri of Flomaton, AL, and Shannon (Patty) Neal of Crestview, FL; two stepsons, Jason Neal of Irving, TX, and Joey Neal, of Milton, FL; three grandchildren, who loved and adored her, Becca Taylor, of Navarre, FL, Riley Neal, of Navarre, FL, and Logan Blancheri, of Flomaton, AL; one great-grandson, who she cherished, Maddox DeCamp, of Navarre, FL: two brothers, Bruce MacMillan, of Fulton, NY, and Craig MacMillan, of Ludowici, GA; two sisters, Beannie MacMillan, of Salamanca, NY, and Lorraine MacMillan, of Westwego, LA; one uncle, Lane France, of Salamanca, NY; and too many nieces, nephews, and cousins to count, but she loved every single one of them. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester Howard and Marilyn France MacMillan; four sisters, Sandra McCracken, Joanne Vertigan, Linda Lejune, and Rocky Hebert; two brothers, Ray MacMillan and Brian MacMillan; and a special friend, Howard Pontious. Audrey graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School, in Fulton, NY, and completed some college courses at Pensacola Junior College, in Pensacola, FL. In her lifetime, Audrey worked as a medical secretary at Santa Rosa Hospital, as a driver for the Council on Aging, and as much loved, special needs school bus driver. Audrey lived in Florida until 2006, when she moved back to New York to care for her mother, Marilyn. During her time in New York, Audrey worked as the Activities Director at Absolute Care Nursing Home, in Salamanca. In June of 2018, after spending a month in the hospital, she moved back to Florida to live with her daughters. Audrey loved spending time with her family and friends. It didn’t matter if they were going for a drive, or sitting outside watching the birds, squirrels, and lizards. She enjoyed coloring in books and on her tablet; reading to, blowing bubbles with, and sneaking candy to Maddox; and spending time at home or getting something to eat with her personal chauffeur, Logan. Her favorite time of the year was in July, when the MacMillan/France reunion would take place in New York. Audrey always wished her family lived closer so they could see each other more often, but was grateful for the time they spent together. A service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 6:00pm, at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God, 2341 County Highway 4A, Century, FL, with Pastor Tim Floyd officiating. There will be a potluck dinner in the fellowship hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to honor Audrey, may volunteer time at a nursing home of their choice, or reach out and spend time with an elderly friend, family member, or neighbor. Helping the elderly was one of Audrey’s passions.
