Robert Steven Bratton, 72, of Gulf Shores, Alabama entered Eternal Rest on July 20, 2020. He was born on November 21, 1947 in Roanoke, VA. He joined the United States Air Force at age 18 and honorably served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a true Hero and Patriot his whole life. He graduated from Roanoke College and earned his BA Degree in 1976. Over the years he was able to travel, live and work throughout the US and other parts of the World. He made friends wherever he went, but few knew him really well. He was known for his love of Family, his Country, the outdoors, animals, southern food and sweets. He was also known for his love of Alabama Football. ROLL TIDE! He was a great story teller, with much to tell. Many will carry special memories of him in their hearts forever. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Ruby Bratton and son, Robert Bratton. Survived by Wife Susan Butler Bratton of Gulf Shores, AL; children, Jennifer(Tom)Bratton Fox of Hendersonville, TN; Kasson(Olivia)Bratton of Xianlin University City, China; Lori(Jay) Duncan of Mesa, AZ and Ali(James) Alexander of Eliasville, TX; grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen and Everett Fox, both of Hendersonville, TN; Koby and Andrew Bratton both of Bethpage, TN; Harris Bratton of Xianlin University City, China; Lance Fleming and Robby Lind of Huntington Beach, CA; Lauren Fleming of Mesa, AZ, Lexi Warren of Mesa, AZ and Courtney and Taylor Hoover of Ft. Worth, TX; great grandchildren, Mason Tarver and Carson Gobell, both of Hendersonville, TN; Rylee Bratton of Bethpage, TN; Mason Magana, Brayden and Ryleigh Fleming, Avery Lind, Kingsley Warren of Mesa, AZ; Colton Lind of Huntington Beach, CA; brother, James Bratton of Madison Heights, VA; sister, Faye Philpott of Roanoke, VA and Beloved pets Marley and Darla. His final resting place will be at Biloxi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Biloxi, Mississippi, on July 31, 2020 at 10: 00 am. God Bless America!
