Obituary of lari jean allen

Lari Allen of Lynn Haven and Niceville, Florida passed away at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the age of 75. Lari was born Lari Jean Boblit in Silver Creek, Nebraska on October 28, 1944. She graduated from Benson High School in 1963 and then traveled to California where she lived until 2000. She worked in a pharmacy in Victorville, California for 18 years and for a time at an elementary school. In February 2000, she moved to Lynn Haven, Florida, and married Jerry Allen. She worked as a receptionist at the Mathison Retirement Community until she suffered a stroke in March 2009. She was significantly disabled after the stroke, losing most of the use of her left side, though she was able to walk. She attended Forest Park Methodist Church. Lari and Jerry were in their home when hurricane Michael hit in October 2018. They were unharmed but were forced to relocate to Niceville, Florida, while their house underwent repairs. At the time of her death, Lari lived at the American House Bluewater Bay where she especially enjoyed playing bingo. Lari will be remembered for her generous nature, and her love of family and friends. Lari is survived by her husband, Jerry Allen; her stepchildren, Kreg Allen (Karen), Kelly Vandever (Rich); grandchildren, Corey Parson (Eric), Zack Vandever (Ellen), and Korey Allen; great grandchildren, Nikki, Ian, October, and Flynn; her cousin, Howard Shinkle (Judy); and many friends. She was proceeded in death by her sister Cora Boblit, father Lawrence Boblit, her mother Luzetta Bloszies, and stepfather Fred Bloszies.
