Obituary of Renee castaneda collins rice

Born October 12, 1978 in San Jose, California and gained her wings on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Renee was the most beautiful person you could ever meet. She was even more beautiful on the inside. She had such an amazing personality. She was always smiling and never spoke a bad word of anyone that she knew, which we know isn’t the case with the rest of us. Renee was one of those people that are lucky enough to find her true self and she lived with that happiness that many of us search for our entire lives and never find. Renee took on the huge task in being the loving, patient wife of Randall “Wayne” Rice, II. The day before their wedding, she asked for words of wisdom from his sister where she was instructed to “Run…as fast as you can…Run”. Our family is most grateful that she was brave enough to take Wayne off of our hands and tame him, so much so that they would even wear matching, perfectly coordinated outfits most of the time. She was the only person that could have taken on such an obnoxiously hilarious person & tolerate his shenanigans daily. Renee did return her own quick witticism to him as well. Anyone (and I mean anyone) that met Renee, or even saw her, knew that she had an immense love for tattoos, sugar skulls, skeletons, horror movies, music, art and to everyone’s astonishment.... Wayne. Their love was one of those cheesy once in a lifetime loves and they loved each other immensely. They were even able to work together for years…on the same shift. If that doesn’t demonstrate the strength, bravery & love that they shared nothing will. Renee was a very colorful person in that you respect that you could never predict what color her hair would be. No matter the color, she was able to rock it like no one you’d ever seen before. Renee was the epitome of a pin up poster doll and always had flawless make-up…especially her eyebrows. Those that were closest to her would rarely get a glimpse of her without them, but only the chosen few. That was Renee’s way of letting you know that you were special. So, if you never got the chance, you probably know what that means. If there was anything that the ladies in our family could have taken from her, it would have been tips on blending, contouring and the art of perfecting our brows. Renee was preceded in death by her father, Robert Charlie Castaneda; her mother, Deborah Anne Pacheco Contreras; her twin sister, Alysia Castaneda-Pyatt and grandfather, Richard Pacheco. She leaves her husband, Randall “Wayne” Rice, II of Fort Walton Beach, FL; grandmother, Marion Pacheco of San Jose, CA; her two brothers, Gabe Castaneda of Montville, CT and Bill Contreras in Canterbury, CT; mother-in-law, Cathy Gunn of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; brother-in-law, Jonathan Lowrimore (Anisa) of Freeport, FL and sister-in-law, Wendy Henley (Jeff) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. She leaves her nieces and nephews that always chose Renee as their favorite aunt. They are (in no order of favorites): Anthony and Annabel Castaneda; William and Lily Contreras; Kelby Collins; Daly, Brody and Whitley Henley; Adalyn, Anniston and (whatever that new baby will be named) Lowrimore. Along with an infinite amount of friends and people that loved her. There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony at a later date…thanks in part to COVID-19. We know without a shadow of doubt, there will be more than ten people that would be in attendance. If you would like to make any donations in her honor, a GoFundMe has been set up as Renae Rice…her Nana, whom she adored, always spelled her name differently than the rest because Renee was truly like no other. Thank you so much for all the prayers, donations, love and support that has been shown to all our families.
