Obituary of John Henry Waydick
Henry John Waydick, 63, was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 17, 1956 and went to his heavenly home on April 2, 2020. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
John joined the United States Army, where he served with the 2 Platoon A Company 4 BN 1 BDE at Ft. Jackson, SC, Dec. 13, 1974. As a testimony of honest and faithful service, he received an honorary discharge Sept. 17, 1976 as part of the Armed Forces of the United States as Private First Class Regular Army.
John was a sincere and loving man. He was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem. John also loved motorcycles, laughing, and having fun with friends and family. He was a devoted Grandfather who always had time to play with his grandchildren no matter how he felt. John touched the lives of so many people with his smile and generosity. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
John was blessed with a large and loving family. He was one of seven children born to the late Betty Lochner. He married his best friend on April 29, 2006 and was the beloved husband of Sheila L Waydick for over 14 years. John will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers, Jeff Glynn and Jim; he had four sisters; dedicated stepsisters, Teresa and Tammi Smith; beloved children, Sarah Elizabeth and husband Daniel Land; devoted stepchildren, Jason and Marcie Bridges, Nichole Ainsworth and Nate Morris; treasured grandchildren, James (JimJim) Waydick, Joey Waydick, Recica Land, Kaden Bridges, Priscilla Jernigan, Isabella Jernigan; loving father, James Waydick and wife Janice; caring in-laws, Mary Overstreet and the late Gene Overstreet, along with other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey John.
The family gracefully declines a formal burial service, yet prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
