Obituary of ethel mae powell

Mae Bowen Powell passed away at home January 22, 2020 in the arms of her husband of 42 years. She was born to Mary Katherine Knight and George Washington Bowen in Albemarle County Virginia on September 12, 1920. Mae retired from the Navy Exchange after 22 years of service. She was a beloved wife to James Powell. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Earl Bowen and one sister, Nora Lee Dressler. She leaves behind her husband, James Powell; daughter, Donna Ray Tanski of Landrum, South Carolina; son, Bruce Wayne Brown of Haughton, Louisiana; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 with visitation from 10:30 - 12:00 pm and service at 12:00 pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
