Richard Charles Wessel, 77, of Cantonment, Florida passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020. He was a loving father grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Mr. Wessel is preceded in death by his parent, Raymond J. and Annette Wessel; wife of 41 years, Elena Wessel; son, Harris (Joe) Guidry; brothers, Bill Wessel, Jim Wessel and Jack Wessel; sister, Shirley and the mother of his sons, Joyce Waybright. He is survived by his sons, Rick (Pat) Wessel, Ken (Sharon) Wessel, and Scott (Ginger) Ambrose; daughter- in-law, Amy Guidry (Rich) Regean; sister, Mary Murdock; brother-in-law, Noel (Mavis) Sowell; grandchildren, Erin (Justin) Whitman, Jami (Braden) Dees, Laura Wessel, Andrew (Janerica) Massey, Hailey (Scott) Torres, Noah (Hannah) Wessel, Payton Ambrose, Hope Ambrose, Even Ambrose, Montana Palmer, and Savy Davis; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Cayden, Braelyn, Raniyah, Semaj, Kyan, Jediah and Flora; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is also survived by his good friends, Elie Peaden, Nathan and Elaine Smith and Sammy Hudgins; his special dog, Quincy and his friends of the Moose 557.
