Obituary of sylvia ann roclevitch
Sylvia Ann Roclevitch, 61, of Pensacola, Florida was given unto God’s loving hands on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
She was born on June 4, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Cecilio Salinas and Gloria Sanchez. She attended Burbank High School in San Antonio, Texas, and Troy University in Montgomery, Alabama. Sylvia was a loving and devoted Air Force wife and Mother of three. She held various leadership and management positions, to include contract support to NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center Airborne Science Program at the Edwards Air Force Flight Test Center in California. Her services included support to some of the original U.S. astronauts, such as Gordon “Gordo” Cooper. Most recently, she managed office affairs for Trident Partners in Pensacola, Florida. Sylvia served her church parish through active roles as a member of the Holy Spirit Council of Catholic Women, Retreat Coordinator, Pastoral Council Member, International Prayer Chain Coordinator and President of the Southwest Deanery Pensacola-Tallahassee Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. For 16 years, Sylvia served her local community as President/Board Member of the Heron’s Walk Homeowners’ Association.
Her parents and sister, Olivia, preceded her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony “Roc” Roclevitch; children, Tony, Matthew, Sarah; grandchildren, Amelia and Liam and brother, Gilbert. She also leaves behind her close canine companion of ten years, Buffy.
Services for Sylvia will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 10650 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola FL 32507 with reception following.
