Virginia Dardenella Roberts Mathews, 78, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020. She was born on January 3, 1942 in Pensacola, Florida to parents, George A. Roberts, Sr. and Jane Dardenella Clepper. She attended school in Pensacola, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Charleston, SC and Pax River, MD. She was a loving and caring Navy wife, a secretary for Civil Service, loved reading, playing cards, WF Bowling and loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Marshall Mathews; her parents and brothers, William S. Roberts and George A. Roberts, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Sherra Roberts Fulton and her step-son, Christopher Mathews.
