Obituary of wesley lamar fulcher, sr.

Wesley Lamar Fulcher, Sr., 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on December 31, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Wesley Fulcher; mother, Jessie May Fulcher; brother, Gilbert Fulcher and sister, Elouise Collins. He is survived by his wife, Erlinda Fulcher; sister, Mildred Green; his 9 children in his blended family, Johnnie (Lathern) Gant, Karen (David) Foremen, Wesley Lamar Fulcher, Jr., Joe (Petra) Wesley Fulcher, Olivia Lynn Shipley, Daniel Lee Fulcher, Barry Shannon (Teresa) Fulcher, John Theodore (Chrystal Quebedeax) Harmon II and Heather (Earl Wood) Harmon; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Lamar was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 29, 1970. He loved Jehovah and the congregation. He pioneered for many years until his health limited his activity, but he always maintained the pioneer spirit. Despite his limitations, he never lost his zeal and determination to do God’s will. He remained faithful to Jehovah to the very end. Lamar loved all of Jehovah’s beautiful creation. He enjoyed spending time at the beach, viewing the sunset, taking care of his garden, and fishing. He took care of household repairs when he could and when physical limitations prevented that, he was able to impart his vast knowledge to others who could then carry out those tasks. He never stopped taking care of the needs of his family even when he was unable to physically do it himself. Lamar was known for his loving and caring hospitality, often opening his home to those in need. He was a loyal husband, always putting his wife’s needs before his own and he loved his children dearly. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and taking them on walks with his wheelchair through the neighborhood. Lamar will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
