Obituary of Archie Edwin Stuart

Archie Edwin Stuart, 77, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019. Ed was dearly loved by his family and he leaves behind his daughter, Alissa Perez; brothers, Jimmy (Vonda) Phetteplace and David (Betty) Phetteplace; nephews, Eddy (Michelle), James (Dottie), David Jr. (Amanda), Joshua, Shane (Elizabeth); nieces, Tammy and Rhonda; grandchildren, Jennifer, Ben, Matthew, Gabe; a great grandchild, Gregory, and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth; brothers Howard and Richard and sister, Marie. He will be missed by all who loved him! Ed retired after 20 years in the Navy as a Navy Chief at age 39. He then worked at GE Nuclear Division for 20 years and retired at age 59. Drag racing was a big part of Ed's life and he had multiple NHRA event wins and record holder. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 with visitation at 9:30 – 10:45 am, service at 10:45 am at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, FL 32504. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
