Obituary of Wayne robert buswell

On Thursday September 19, 2019 at his daughter’s home with close family by his side, Wayne Robert Buswell passed away after a long fight with lung cancer. Wayne was born on November 17, 1955 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur E Buswell Jr., and Janice Rayt (née Graves). Wayne had five younger siblings, Karen (d 2014), Arthur “Buddy”, Michael (d 1992), Marianne, and Kevin, who gifted ‘Uncle Wayne’ with nieces and nephews. Wayne served his country in the US Air Force during the 1970s, and supported his family through his passion and successful career of driving a truck. Wayne is survived by his first wife, Lesley Buswell (née Berg) whom he shared two daughters, Cynthia Andrews and Tabatha (Scott) Colvin; his second wife, Stephanie Buswell (née Voss), whom he also shared two daughters, Jennifer Buswell with significant other Josh Glidden, and youngest daughter Elisabeth Buswell. “Big Truck” is also survived by grandchildren, Skyla LeChel (daughter of Cynthia), William and Madeline Colvin (son and daughter of Tabatha and Scott Colvin), and Jared Glidden (son with Jennifer’s partner Josh Glidden). During his ‘retirement’, Wayne enjoyed playing poker throughout the country, fulfilled his long-time dream of living on his boat, spending quality time with family and friends, as well as volunteering throughout his Pensacola community home. Wayne was deeply loved and will be missed by those within the 12 step community. He will forever be in our hearts. “Roll on 18 wheeler, Roll on”. Services will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019 beginning at 1:30pm at New Warrington Fellowship Group, 605 N 65th Ave., Pensacola, Florida followed by a burial at sea out of Destin Harbor in Destin, Florida. After initially being diagnosed with lung cancer, Wayne was able to get into a program there that offered specialized treatments specific to his cancer at no cost to him.
