Obituary of Jimmy eugene bitzer

During the early morning hours of September 11, 2019 Jimmy “Granddaddy” Bitzer passed away after a brave battle with colon cancer. Granddaddy was surrounded by many loved ones at the time of his passing, including his daughters Donna and Regina, and granddaughter Kelly. Jimmy was born in Florala, Alabama on June 12, 1941 and moved to Pensacola as a child. Jimmy met Violet in Pensacola and married her on Christmas day in 1959. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lucy and John Johnson; his mother Anne, and his beloved wife Violet. He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Steve) Coffman and Regina (Paul) Kaufman; honorary daughters, Wendy (DeWayne) Utz-Wright and Lisa (Rick) Pierce; grandchildren, Brandon McCormick, Kelly (Trevor) Morris, Nicole McCormick and Rachel Kaufman; honorary grandchildren, Olen Stanley, George Ross Williamson, and Sean Pierce; great grandchildren, Avery Stanley, Sabrina Morris, Gage McCormick, Jimmy Stanley, Lily McCormick, and Rozalynne Mathis. Also surviving is his special nephew, Terry Johnson and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was Granddaddy to a multitude of children that he loved and cared for over the years. His pallbearers will be; Olen Stanley, Trevor Morris, John Harris, David Murray, Jason Mott, and Wade Mott. The viewing will be Monday evening, September 16, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Family Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Rd., Pensacola, FL. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Family-Funeral & Cremation at 1:00 PM and will be officiated by Michael Huggins. Interment will immediately follow the service at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, 7433 Pine Forest Rd., Pensacola, Florida 32526. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Flurry and his staff for their care and guidance over the years and also all of the members of Covenant Hospice for their care, concern, and hugs over the last few weeks.
