Obituary of gene everett vardeman, jr.

Gene Everett Vardeman, Jr., age 48, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida was called home on Thursday, August 8, 2019. Gene was born in Century, Florida on October 21, 1970 to Retha (Diane) Standlee and Gene Vardeman, Sr. Gene worked most of his life in construction. His love for music was his true passion; if he wasn’t playing his guitar and singing, he was fishing. His love for life and making people laugh was one of his best qualities. Family always came first with him. He is preceded in death by his son, Travis Griner; his sister, Sheila Vardeman; both maternal and paternal grandparents and his step-mother, KieAnn Vardeman. Gene is survived by his girlfriend, Dawn Sanche; mother, Retha Diane (Tommy) Standlee; father, Gene Vardeman, Sr.; sons, Dylan Griner and Gene Vardeman, III; daughter, Olivia Vardeman; sisters, Donna (Rusty) Whisenhant, Sonja (TJ) Davidson, Kendra (Jimmy) Jones and Jennifer (Clark) Taft; brothers, John Crabtree, Winston (Julie) Vardeman and Jeremy (Gina) Standlee and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the First Pentecostal Cemetery, Molino Road, Molino, Florida 32577.
