Obituary of monetta margaret donaldson

Monetta “Mo” Baker Donaldson, 80, of Pensacola, Florida Passed peacefully on August 6, 2019. She was born in Port Jefferson, New York on November 3, 1938 to Margaret and Roland Baker. She graduated from Patchogue High School in 1956 and she married Joe F. Donaldson. She worked as a Management Analyst for the Federal Government for 42 years. She was an Active Member of American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and was selected Woman of the Year in 1973. She is preceded in death by great-grandson, Bryson. Monetta is survived by her three children, Michael (Kathleen) Donaldson of Columbus GA, Steven Donaldson of Pensacola FL, and Jonetta Jewell of Fort Walton. She also is survived by her oldest sister, Roberta Wood of Shirley Long Island, New York, as well; grandchildren, Jamie Ponthier, James Donaldson, Bruce Donaldson, and Jeremy Donaldson and great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Ponthier, Leilani Donaldson, and Raylen Whitaker. Monetta worked hard to transition from her upbringing in Long Island to adapting to life in the deep south where she was welcomed into her Southern family with opened arms. She never missed sending birthday and Christmas cards to her many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, all of whom adored her. The name "Aunt Mo" was synonymous with love, laughter, acceptance and warmth. When she asked a question, whether posed to an adult or a child, she did not do so just to be polite, she was greatly interested in knowing the answer. A Celebration of her Life will take place at Happy China on Mobile Highway starting at 10:30am, Saturday, August 10, 2019. He Promises me Peace! Out of the depths I come - Rising to join the chosen one – Into the Warmth of brotherly love Joining the ranks of the Lord alone. Feeling the warmth of a caring hand Knowing the blessings throughout the land I come, I come to see the Son, my Lord Who offers me life forever, A promise that I can enter Heaven. My ticket is I must believe… Believe in Jesus who died for me. Reach out and take his hand For he is the King over all the land He promises PEACE which I desire.
