Obituary of Tagiilima Serrano

Tagiilima Lotoa Serrano, 58 of Pensacola, Florida went to be with her lord on Sunday, July 14, 2019. She was born in Pago Pago, Aunu'u Island, American Samoa on August 9, 1960 to Atualeao Lotoa and Lotoa Faauliuli. She married Edward Serrano on the island of Oahu, Hawaii in 1989. Lima was a dedicated and loving mother, first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nina. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went, always lit up the room, and brought a smile to the saddest face. Lima truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, cooking or snacking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Lima was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Lemasaniai Lauama, Vaiinu Lotoa, Agalelei Lotoa, Toetama Lotoa, and Suia Atina’e. She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Ed; children, Sapunaoa (Sulimonioaiga) Malu-Gogo, Uluola Malu, Peter Lotoa, Fa’alelei (Quinton) Mooney, Sharon (Monica) Nuccio-Muñoz, Nick (Ashley Hendry) Serrano; sisters and brothers, Uluola Morisa, Toetu Lotoa, Futi Eliala Lotoa, Lotoa Alaifune Lotoa, Fiti Tu'ugasala Lotoa, Faufano Lotoa, and Fa'aofo Leuma Lotoa and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her life was a living example of Bible verse Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 with visitation from 11:00-12:00pm and service at 12:00pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504. A Committal Service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, Florida 32508 immediately following the service.
